Salam,

When child I was told not to sleep with feets towards kaba. I follow this practice till today and reason it as respect to Allah. Never thought or had a chance to question this. Any input ?

There is no such thing in the Quran, it is actually a cultural thingy in most middle east countries, if you face anyone with your feet, it will be classified as rude, I dont believe in such thing indeed, in fact one day in egypt when I was working as a civil engineer and was sitting in my office putting my feet on my desk my manager came and fired me on the spot LOL ( I was happy to be fired actually), so I sleep whatever way I like, it is all what is in the heart and mind, if you want to point your feet to the House of Allah as a matter of disrespecting it, then this is what you will earn, if you are pointing your feet towards the Kabba and you mean no disrespect then this is what you will earn
