Post subject: THE PARALYSIS OF THE MODERN HUMAN MIND Reply with quote

I wrote this on another site and would like to post here too:

I read the new post about Hitting Wives, to which I will add my thoughts and comments later and I will be putting this as a preamble in my reply, later. Just to let the folks know early.

We must keep in mind that when the Qur'aan was revealed, its parlance was that of the people who heard it and to whom no dictionary was needed for the understanding of its delicate nuances.

All those who heard, understood the message and accepted it without consulting Greek.

Those people did not have to run to libraries to find Arabic Lexicons, Concordances and Dictionaries to refer to and understand what Qur'aan was saying through Muhammad.

The message was easily understood by the common man, even by the most illiterate and the most learned, in his own language.

Let us look at the following. I am quoting off my memory, so please pardon my mistakes, if any:

"Yusab-bay-hur-ra'aado bayhamdahe" meaning "The lightning/thunder glorifies the LORD."
"Tus-sab-bay-ho lahus-sama-waat-o wal ardo" meaning "The Heavens and earth glorify the LORD."

The man, who did not have a paralysed mind, then did not ask, "Hey! Muhammad, how can the lightning/thunder and the seven heavens and Earth declare the glory of the LORD? They cannot talk!

Salaams
